Cadeler Revenue More Than Doubles to €408 Million as Offshore Wind Fleet Expands to 10 Vessels
Offshore wind installation specialist Cadeler generated €408 million in revenue during H1 2026, more than double the comparable €188 million in H1 2025 after adjusting for one-off termination fees. EBITDA increased from €102 million to €208 million, while profit rose 54 percent from €57 million to €88 million. Cadeler operated a fleet of 10 vessels with utilisation of 66 percent, versus 67 percent a year earlier. The company expects full-year 2026 revenue of €854 million–€944 million and EBITDA of €420 million–€510 million. The growth reflects fleet expansion and additional contracted installation days as offshore wind projects require increasingly specialised vessels capable of handling larger foundations, turbines and construction campaigns.
Siemens Energy Moves Toward Standalone Transformation of Industry Business
Siemens Energy is preparing to separate its Transformation of Industry division into a standalone company as part of a broader restructuring of its energy-technology portfolio. The business includes industrial steam turbines, generators, compressors and hydrogen-related technologies serving power-intensive industries. Reports put the division’s annual business scale at roughly €5.7 billion, making the potential separation financially significant. Siemens Energy has been restructuring around faster-growing electricity-grid, power-generation and wind technologies as global investment accelerates in grids, renewable integration and data-centre power infrastructure. The move follows earlier plans to reorganise parts of Siemens Energy’s activities under the Omterra brand. A standalone structure could give the industrial technology business greater strategic flexibility while allowing Siemens Energy to concentrate investment more heavily on grid and generation growth markets.
CSI Launches 2.3 MWh Mobile BESS With 1 MW Bidirectional Megawatt Charging
Coulomb Solutions Inc. has added Megawatt Charging System capability to its latest mobile battery energy storage systems, targeting heavy-duty electric trucks, buses, ports, construction equipment and temporary charging sites. CSI’s new portfolio includes a 699 kWh Mobile BESS with up to 700 kW input and output, and a larger 2.3 MWh system capable of receiving and delivering up to 1 MW through MCS. Both systems also support bidirectional 480 VAC connections for building loads, peak shaving and energy shifting. CSI says the equipment can serve fleets while permanent utility upgrades are pending. Both configurations are eligible for up to $300,000 under California’s 2026 CORE Voucher Funding program.
