ACME Solar Signs 300 MW/1,200 MWh Renewable Peak Power Agreement with SECI

Indian renewable-energy developer ACME Solar Holdings has signed a power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India for 300 MW of assured peak electricity supply supported by 1,200 MWh of battery storage. Announced October 19, the agreement carries a tariff of ₹6 per kWh and became effective October 6. The project combines solar generation and batteries to supply electricity for four hours daily during non-solar periods, with minimum monthly availability of 90 percent. The contract was awarded under SECI’s FDRE-IX programme. ACME Solar’s signed power purchase agreements now cover 4,310 MW of its 5,380 MW under-construction portfolio. Its total contracted renewable-energy portfolio stands at approximately 8,370 MW.

Rabbalshede Kraft Starts Construction of 108.2 MWp Solar Projects in Finland

Swedish renewable-energy developer Rabbalshede Kraft has started construction of two solar parks in Finland with combined capacity of 108.2 MWp. Announced October 15, the projects comprise the 36.7 MWp Lamminneva solar farm in Lappajärvi and the 71.5 MWp Isoneva project in Suonenjoki. Both installations occupy former peat production sites. The projects received approximately €9.1 million in funding through the European Union’s Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism. Combined annual electricity generation is estimated at approximately 96–98 GWh, equivalent to consumption by around 9,800 Finnish households. Construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2027. Finnish company Neova developed the projects, while Rabbalshede Kraft will own and operate the facilities.

CGN Brasil Begins Construction of 70.8 MW Tanque Novo Solar Project in Bahia

Renewable-energy developer CGN Brasil has started construction of the 70.8 MW Tanque Novo photovoltaic project in Caetité, Bahia, northeastern Brazil. Announced October 15, the installation is expected to generate approximately 144 million kWh annually. The solar facility will use electricity infrastructure associated with CGN’s existing Tanque Novo wind farm, enabling shared grid connection and renewable-energy operations. Electricity generated by the project will be supplied to the São Paulo Metro. Grid connection is scheduled for July 9, 2027. CGN plans to provide training opportunities for local workers and engage regional suppliers during construction. The company did not disclose total capital expenditure, module suppliers, construction contractors or the duration of the electricity supply agreement.
