ACME Solar Secures INR 15.71 Billion for 300 MW Rajasthan Solar and 1.35 GWh BESS Project
ACME Solar Holdings has secured INR 15.71 billion, about $164 million, in long-term funding from India Infrastructure Finance Company for its 300 MW assured peak-power project in Rajasthan. The total project investment is approximately INR 21.23 billion, and IIFCL is acting as sole lender with a 19-year repayment tenor. The project combines solar generation with a 1,350 MWh battery energy storage system and has a 25-year PPA with SECI at INR 6.28 per kWh. Grid connectivity is already operational, while the pooling substation and dedicated transmission line are at advanced stages. ACME has now secured INR 109.76 billion of financing during the current fiscal year and operates or develops an 8.37 GW renewable portfolio.
Perigus Acquires Permitted 21 MW German Wind Farm From ABO Energy
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners-backed Perigus Energy Deutschland has acquired the permitted 21 MW Olpe-Rehringhausen wind project in North Rhine-Westphalia from ABO Energy. The project comprises three turbines rated at 7 MW each within the Rother Stein designated wind area near Olpe. Authorities issued construction and operating permits on March 26, 2026, meaning Perigus takes over a project already at an advanced development stage. The company is separately developing the nearby 13.2 MW Windfart project, featuring two 6.6 MW turbines, creating potential synergies in construction, infrastructure and long-term operations because the two developments are only around 3 km apart. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction expands Perigus’ German onshore wind pipeline through acquisition rather than greenfield development.
Eurowind Gets Grid Approval for 2.307 GW of Romanian Wind, Solar and Battery Projects
Eurowind Energy Romania has secured technical grid-connection approvals covering 2,307.4 MW across seven renewable-energy projects. The portfolio includes 900 MW of wind at Albești, 1,188 MW of wind in Botoșani County, a 49 MW solar-plus-BESS project at Mănești, and wind farms of 49.6 MW each at Stăncuța, Liești and Slobozia Conachi, plus 21.6 MW at Pechea. Eurowind currently has a Romanian development pipeline of approximately 7.5 GW and 184 MW of operating capacity, including 60 MW of battery storage. Construction is already underway on three wind projects totaling 138 MW. Most of the newly approved projects are planned for grid connection after 2030, with the 1,188 MW Botoșani programme expected to begin phased construction around 2031.
Germany Opens 296.3 MW Rooftop Solar Tender With EUR 0.10/kWh Price Cap Germany’s Federal Network Agency has opened a new auction for 296.269 MW of rooftop and noise-barrier solar capacity as the country continues expanding distributed photovoltaic generation. Bids are capped at EUR 0.10 per kWh, below the previous EUR 0.104 per kWh ceiling. Germany plans to procure around 1.1 GW through this solar category during 2026, while a proposed expansion to 2.3 GW remains dependent on European Commission state-aid approval. The current minimum eligible project size remains 1,001 kW, although planned reforms could lower it to 751 kW. A previous tender for this category offered 282.7 MW, while Germany’s October 2025 round selected 121 bids representing 281 MW from 140 submissions totaling 310 MW.
