Zelestra and EDP Add 462 MWh Battery Storage to 181 MW Spanish Solar Portfolio

Zelestra and EDP have signed two long-term agreements covering approximately 462 MWh of four-hour battery storage alongside 181 MWdc of operational solar capacity in Spain. Zelestra will install a 25 MW/100 MWh BESS at its 31 MWdc Pedroso solar plant in Seville and a 90.45 MW/approximately 362 MWh BESS at the 150 MWdc Valkyria solar plant in Castilla-La Mancha. EDP is already the electricity offtaker for both photovoltaic projects. The agreements expand the companies’ Spanish hybrid portfolio to four projects and take contracted battery capacity under their partnership to more than 1 GWh, including earlier Trujillo and Pizarroso projects.

Exus Renewables Acquires 715 MW US Solar Portfolio from ibV Energy Partners

Exus Renewables North America has acquired four solar developments totalling 715 MW from ibV Energy Partners, expanding its US utility-scale renewable pipeline. The portfolio includes Maple Grove Solar 1 and 2, totalling 310 MW in Barron County, Wisconsin; the 125 MW Bayou Teche Solar project in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana; and the 280 MW Bayou Chicot Solar project in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. Exus will advance the four projects through their next development stages. Transaction value was not disclosed. The company now has more than 6 GW of renewable projects in its portfolio, including over 800 MW operating or under construction, supported by a $400 million corporate credit facility secured earlier in 2026.

Adani Power and Druk Green Sign Agreement for 770 MW Bhutan Hydropower Project

Adani Power and Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation have signed a shareholders agreement to develop the 770 MW Chamkharchhu-I Hydroelectric Project in Zhemgang District, Bhutan. The peaking run-of-river development will operate under a 49:51 Adani Power-DGPC equity structure and a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer model with a 30-year concession from commercial operation. Construction is scheduled to start in the first half of 2027, with commissioning targeted within six years of groundbreaking. Chamkharchhu-I follows the partners’ 570 MW Wangchhu project and forms part of their wider agreement targeting 5 GW of hydropower development in Bhutan.
