WindForce Wins Bid for 120 MW Battery Storage Project in Sri Lanka

WindForce PLC has won a competitive bid to develop 120 MW of battery energy storage capacity in Sri Lanka, marking a major step in the country’s grid modernization efforts. The large-scale battery project will enhance power system stability, support renewable energy integration, and reduce reliance on fossil fuel-based peaking generation. The 120 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) is expected to provide frequency regulation, peak shaving, and load balancing services, strengthening grid resilience amid rising solar and wind penetration. Sri Lanka is accelerating investment in energy storage to address supply volatility and improve electricity reliability.\ The award reinforces WindForce’s growing presence in South Asia’s renewable and storage market, positioning the company as a key player in Sri Lanka’s clean energy transition.

Waaree Energy Subsidiary Signs 2.5 MW Electrolyzer-as-a-Service Deal, MoU for 50 MW Supply

A subsidiary of Waaree Energy has signed a 2.5 MW Electrolyzer-as-a-Service (EaaS) agreement with ZFI for a green hydrogen project in Uttar Pradesh, marking a strategic step into India’s emerging hydrogen economy. The EaaS model enables hydrogen production without upfront capital investment, accelerating project deployment and lowering financial barriers. In addition, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to supply 50 MW of electrolyzers, signaling strong demand for scalable green hydrogen infrastructure. The agreements reinforce Waaree’s diversification beyond solar manufacturing into clean hydrogen technology, supporting India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and strengthening domestic electrolyzer manufacturing capabilities.

TerrePower Reaches Milestone with 50 MW Solar Plant for Sustainable Production

TerrePower has achieved a major sustainability milestone with the commissioning of a 50 MW solar power plant, significantly advancing its clean energy production strategy. The large-scale photovoltaic installation will supply renewable electricity to support the company’s manufacturing operations, reducing carbon emissions and reliance on conventional power sources. The 50 MW solar facility underscores TerrePower’s commitment to decarbonization and energy independence, aligning with broader industrial sustainability goals. By integrating on-site renewable generation, the company enhances operational efficiency while lowering long-term energy costs. The milestone highlights growing adoption of utility-scale solar solutions within industrial sectors, reinforcing the role of renewable energy in driving sustainable production and corporate climate targets.
