Linea Energy and Crux Complete Financing for 172 MWdc Michigan Solar Project
Linea Energy and Crux have completed tax equity financing for the 172 MWdc Watertown solar project in Sanilac County, Michigan, marking the final commercialization milestone for the utility-scale development. The investment brings the project’s total capital raise to $457 million, following Linea’s previously announced $299 million project debt package comprising a construction-to-term loan, tax equity bridge loan and letter of credit facility. The project is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement and is expected to supply clean electricity to more than 25,000 homes, create around 150 construction jobs, and generate approximately $16.4 million in local property tax revenue over the next 20 years.
