Jinko ESS Delivers 722-MWh Battery Energy Storage System for Major Renewable Energy Project in India
Jinko ESS, the energy storage arm of JinkoSolar, has completed the delivery of 722 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) equipment for a large-scale renewable energy base project in India. The project incorporates 144 units of Jinko’s SunTera G2 liquid-cooled energy storage systems, designed to support high levels of renewable energy integration, grid stability, clean energy dispatch, and peak-load management. The deployment is notable for its operation in challenging environmental conditions, including high temperatures, humidity, dust, and long-distance transportation requirements. Jinko’s SunTera G2 system features advanced liquid-cooling technology that maintains cell temperature differences within 2.5°C, supports operation in temperatures up to 55°C and humidity levels of 99%, and includes IP55-rated protection and multi-layer safety architecture. Beyond equipment delivery, Jinko ESS is providing full-lifecycle support, including system integration, project execution, long-term operations and maintenance, and AI-powered energy management services. The milestone highlights the growing importance of large-scale energy storage in supporting India’s renewable energy expansion and enhancing grid flexibility as the country accelerates its clean energy transition.
JA Solar Rebrands as “JA” to Expand Beyond Solar into Integrated Clean Energy
Chinese renewable energy company JA Solar has officially rebranded as “JA”, reflecting its transformation from a solar module manufacturer into a broader integrated clean energy solutions provider. Unveiled at the JAx2026 Brand Renewal Launch, the new identity introduces a unified “One JA” strategy supported by four business pillars: JA Solar (photovoltaics), JA ESS (energy storage), JA Green (smart energy), and JA Power (energy services). The rebrand signals the company’s ambition to deliver end-to-end renewable energy solutions beyond traditional solar products. The initiative highlights innovation through the integration of solar, battery storage, smart energy management, and AI-driven operations. Customer-focused benefits include improved energy efficiency, enhanced system reliability, lower lifecycle costs, and comprehensive clean energy solutions from a single provider. JA said the new strategy will strengthen its ability to support global decarbonisation efforts while creating greater value for utility, commercial, industrial, and residential customers. The move positions the company to compete in the rapidly evolving energy sector by offering integrated renewable energy ecosystems rather than standalone solar technologies.
Clearvise Begins Construction of 16.1MWp Solar Project in Italy
German independent power producer Clearvise AG has commenced construction of its 16.1MWp photovoltaic (PV) project in Sardinia, Italy, marking a significant milestone in the company’s European renewable energy growth strategy. The solar farm was acquired through Clearvise’s clearPARTNERS development platform and is expected to generate approximately 27GWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power thousands of households while reducing carbon emissions. The project highlights innovation through advanced solar technology and strategic project development partnerships that accelerate renewable energy deployment. Customer-focused benefits include increased access to reliable green electricity, enhanced energy security, lower environmental impact, and long-term support for Italy’s clean energy transition. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026, contributing to Clearvise’s goal of expanding its renewable portfolio across Europe. The investment also supports local economic development through infrastructure spending and job creation while reinforcing Sardinia’s role in advancing sustainable energy generation and decarbonisation efforts.
