Grenergy Secures $457 Million Financing for 446 MW Solar and 1.8 GWh Battery Storage in Chile

Spanish renewable-energy developer Grenergy has secured $457 million in non-recourse senior financing for projects combining 446 MW of solar capacity and 1,769 MWh of battery storage in Chile. BNP Paribas coordinated and underwrote the financing, with BBVA, JPMorgan Chase, MUFG, Santander and Scotiabank participating. The portfolio includes Algarrobal, the fifth phase of Oasis de Atacama, with 242 MW of solar and 1,480 MWh of storage, and the Palmas cluster, comprising 204 MW of solar and 289 MWh of storage. Algarrobal has a 12-year hybrid power purchase agreement beginning January 2028. Grenergy has now secured more than $2.4 billion in non-recourse financing in Chile.

Generate Capital Closes $154.5 Million Financing for 43 MW US Community Solar Portfolio

US infrastructure investor Generate Capital has closed a $154.5 million tax equity commitment with SOLCAP, KeyState’s tax equity investment platform, to finance 10 community solar projects totalling 43 MWac across New York and Illinois. The transaction represents the sixth tax equity fund established between Generate and KeyState since their partnership began in 2021. It follows an $85 million financing commitment in October 2025 supporting another community solar portfolio. Generate has now secured approximately $1.6 billion in financing commitments during 2026 for infrastructure development. The new funding will support distributed solar generation serving residential and commercial electricity customers. Individual project commissioning dates and investment allocations were not disclosed.

European Energy Secures DKK 291 Million for 57.4 MW UK Solar Farm

Danish renewable-energy developer European Energy has secured a DKK 291 million ($43.6 million) financing framework from Jyske Bank for its 57.4 MWp Snakes Meadow solar project in Bedfordshire, England. The package includes a DKK 255 million construction credit facility, alongside letter-of-credit and guarantee arrangements. European Energy owns the project through Snakes Meadow Energy Centre and will manage construction. The development has planning approval and a 45 MVA grid connection at 132 kV. Commercial operations are expected in 2027. Annual electricity generation is estimated at 62 GWh, equivalent to consumption by approximately 20,000 households. European Energy may sell the completed asset to a long-term owner.

ACEN Secures €50 Million ING Loan for Renewable Energy Expansion

Philippine renewable-energy company ACEN has secured a €50 million term loan facility through subsidiary ACEN Investments to finance renewable-energy investments and portfolio expansion. ING Bank’s Manila branch is providing the loan, while its Singapore branch is acting as facility agent. The financing can be used for investments, refinancing and advances to existing or future renewable-energy projects through subsidiaries and joint ventures. Part of the facility may also support general corporate requirements. ACEN develops and operates solar, wind, geothermal and battery storage projects across the Philippines and international markets, including India, Australia, Indonesia and Vietnam. The company did not identify specific projects receiving the new financing or disclose the facility’s maturity and interest rate.
