Energiekontor Secures Financing for 11 MWp German Solar Park
German renewable energy developer Energiekontor has reached financial close for the Kolitzheim-Herlheim solar park in Bavaria, clearing the way for construction to begin. The project will have an installed capacity of around 11 MWp and is scheduled to enter operation in the first half of 2027. It is expected to generate more than 13 GWh of renewable electricity annually and avoid approximately 9,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. The project is backed by a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) involving Energiekontor, EHA and German retailer dm, with the electricity supplying dm stores. The solar farm is being developed without subsidies under Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act, demonstrating the potential for commercially viable, market-based solar projects.
Vena Energy Closes Financing for 500 MWp Philippine Solar Project
Vena Energy has reached financial close for the 500-MWp Ixus Bugallon Solar Power Project in Bugallon, Pangasinan, Philippines, advancing one of its major utility-scale renewable energy developments in the country. Securing financing represents a key milestone for the project and supports its progression towards construction and eventual commercial operation. With 500 MWp of planned solar capacity, the development will add substantial renewable electricity generation to the Philippine grid while supporting growing power demand and the country’s transition towards cleaner energy sources. The project also strengthens Vena Energy’s expanding renewable portfolio in the Philippines, where the company is developing and operating solar and other clean-energy assets. Large-scale developments such as Ixus Bugallon are expected to contribute to energy diversification, reduce reliance on fossil-fuel generation and attract further investment into the country’s renewable power sector.
Envision Energy, Kallista Energy Commission 38.6 MWh Battery Storage Project in France
Envision Energy and Kallista Energy have commissioned a 38.6 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Saleux, France, strengthening grid flexibility and supporting the country’s clean energy transition. The project uses Envision’s Gen 5 DC liquid-cooled technology with AI-powered grid-forming capabilities to improve renewable energy integration and system stability. It marks the first deployment under the companies’ strategic partnership, which also includes a larger 120 MW / 240 MWh turnkey battery storage project announced previously in France. The 38.6 MWh installation is designed to enhance grid reliability, accelerate renewable energy adoption, and support the development of future low-carbon energy systems.
