Electrified Thermal Solutions Receives DNV Validation for 20-Year Thermal Battery Material Lifetime

Electrified Thermal Solutions (ETS) has received independent validation from engineering assurance firm DNV confirming a projected 20-year operational lifetime for the core materials used in its Joule Hive thermal battery technology. The assessment validates the durability of ETS’s electrically conductive firebrick system, which stores renewable electricity as high-temperature heat for industrial applications. The milestone strengthens the commercial case for thermal energy storage as industries seek cost-effective alternatives to fossil fuels for process heat. ETS said the validation reduces technology risk for customers and investors while supporting large-scale industrial decarbonization efforts. The company’s thermal battery technology is designed to deliver reliable high-temperature heat using renewable electricity, helping energy-intensive sectors reduce emissions while maintaining operational performance over decades of service.

TOYO Secures $185.6 Million in New U.S. Solar Supply Orders

TOYO Co., Ltd. has secured two major supply agreements worth a combined $185.6 million from U.S. renewable energy customers, strengthening its position in the fast-growing American solar market. The purchase orders reflect increasing demand for TOYO’s solar products and reinforce its strategy of building a transparent and compliant solar supply chain for U.S. utility-scale projects. Chief Executive Officer Takahiko Onozuka said the contracts validate the company’s commercial strategy and operational execution capabilities. The new orders come as TOYO expands its manufacturing footprint, including plans for a 1.5 GW heterojunction (HJT) solar cell facility in the Houston metropolitan area. The agreements are expected to support revenue growth while enhancing TOYO’s presence in the U.S. clean energy sector.
