Blue Energy Secures Constellation Investment to Scale Prefabricated Nuclear Power Plants

Blue Energy has received a strategic equity investment from Constellation to accelerate commercialization of its prefabricated nuclear power plant platform. The funding will support Blue Energy’s shipyard-based manufacturing model and project financing approach, designed to reduce construction risk, lower costs and speed deployment of new nuclear generation. The company aims to manufacture standardized nuclear plants using commercial shipyards instead of traditional on-site construction. The investment strengthens Blue Energy’s efforts to deliver financeable nuclear projects that can support rising electricity demand driven by artificial intelligence, data centers and industrial electrification while expanding the role of advanced nuclear energy.

Verdantas Acquires EN-POWER GROUP to Expand Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Services

Verdantas has acquired New York-based EN-POWER GROUP to strengthen its energy efficiency, decarbonization and sustainability consulting capabilities. Founded in 2003, EN-POWER provides engineering design, construction oversight, energy analysis, electrification, sustainability consulting, regulatory compliance and project management services. The acquisition expands Verdantas’ expertise in helping facility owners improve building performance, reduce operating costs and meet evolving environmental regulations. With more than 2,540 professionals nationwide, Verdantas said the deal enhances its presence in New York City while broadening technical capabilities across the energy transition market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

IDF and Oaktree Commit $1.7 Billion to Bloom Energy Fuel Cells for Nebius AI Data Centers

Industrial Development Funding (IDF) and Oaktree have announced a $1.7 billion project investment to deploy Bloom Energy fuel cells for Nebius’ expanding AI cloud infrastructure. The project will provide dedicated behind-the-meter power, enabling Nebius to meet the growing electricity demands of AI compute workloads while reducing dependence on grid capacity. Bloom Energy’s fuel cell technology is designed to deliver reliable, always-on power for hyperscale AI data centers. The financing model supports rapid deployment of AI infrastructure while addressing power availability challenges, reflecting increasing investment in distributed energy solutions to accelerate artificial intelligence cloud expansion.
