PHONO Expands Europe Presence, Signs Strategic Deals at Intersolar Europe 2026

PHONO strengthened its European growth strategy at Intersolar Europe 2026, held in Munich from June 23–25, by signing strategic cooperation agreements with leading energy companies in Spain and Italy while showcasing a full portfolio of solar and energy storage technologies. The event also coincided with parent company SUMEC ENERGY’s 20th anniversary in the clean energy sector. PHONO introduced its Draco Matrix N-type TOPCon and Quasar BC solar modules, integrated Solar-Storage-Charging solutions, SCUTUM solar carports, intelligent battery management systems (iBMS), cleaning robots, and solar fences. The company also highlighted its 13th consecutive year as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 module manufacturer and recognition as a PVEL 2026 Top Performer in seven categories, reinforcing its long-term European expansion strategy.

Aker Solutions Wins Offshore Wind HVDC Substructure Contract for European Project

Aker Solutions has secured a substantial contract to deliver an HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) offshore substructure for an undisclosed European offshore wind project. The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and will be booked as order intake in the second quarter of 2026 under the company’s Renewables and Field Development segment. The HVDC substructure will play a critical role in transmitting renewable electricity from offshore wind farms to onshore power grids, supporting Europe’s energy transition. Although the financial value and customer were not disclosed, the project further strengthens Aker Solutions’ position in offshore wind infrastructure and expands its portfolio of large-scale renewable energy projects across Europe.

True Solar Rebrands as True Energy Systems to Expand Beyond Solar

True Solar has officially rebranded as True Energy Systems, reflecting its transition from a residential solar installer into a broader provider of integrated energy solutions. Under the new brand, the company will continue delivering rooftop solar systems while expanding into battery energy storage, energy management, backup power, EV charging, and broader energy infrastructure services. The rebranding aligns with growing customer demand for complete energy independence as electricity costs rise and distributed energy adoption accelerates. The company said its values, leadership, and commitment to quality remain unchanged despite the name change. The new identity positions True Energy Systems to support homeowners and businesses with end-to-end clean energy solutions beyond traditional solar installations.
