CATL has introduced its Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery, marking a significant leap in the hybrid vehicle battery market.
Key highlights include:
The Freevoy achieves over 400 kilometers on a single charge, setting a new standard for PHEV and EREV batteries.
With 4C fast-charging technology, Freevoy can deliver 280 kilometers of range on just a 10-minute charge, significantly reducing range anxiety for hybrid vehicle owners.
Advanced cathode and anode modifications, including surface modification and nano-coating, enhance lithium-ion transport and overall power performance, improving the SOC control accuracy by 40 percent and raising electric utilization rates by over 10 percent.
Integrated sodium-ion battery technology enables operation down to -40°C, addressing a common limitation for EVs in cold climates. This hybrid system improves low-temperature range by 5 percent, aided by precision BMS technology.
Freevoy has already been adopted by models from Li Auto, AVATR, and CHANGAN, with 30 additional models from brands like Geely and Chery slated for 2025.
The Freevoy represents a pivotal solution in extending the utility of hybrid vehicles, pushing EREVs and PHEVs closer to the convenience and performance of fully electric vehicles.
