Xiaomi has unveiled a high-performance luxury version of its SU7 electric sports car, the SU7 Ultra, priced at $114,000. This model challenges Tesla and Porsche with claims of being the fastest four-door mass-produced car globally.
The SU7 Ultra is positioned as a rival to the Tesla Model S Plaid and Porsche Taycan Turbo, emphasizing performance rather than cost — a departure from Xiaomi’s typical value-based approach, Reuters news report said.
Here are the main features of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra that position it as a competitive alternative to Tesla and Porsche:
Performance
Exceptional Power and Speed:
Maximum horsepower of 1548 PS.
0-100 km/h in 1.98 seconds, making it the fastest four-door production car globally.
Top speed of 350 km/h.

SU7 Ultra features high-end materials like carbon fiber, performance ceramic brakes, and aerodynamics for speed. Xiaomi shared a record-breaking Nurburgring lap time for the prototype, underscoring its focus on high-performance engineering.
Xiaomi aims to deliver 120,000 SU7 models by the year-end, with the first SU7 Ultra deliveries slated for March. In the first 10 minutes of its debut, Xiaomi received over 3,600 pre-orders, and EV deliveries topped 20,000 in October.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun cited U.S. sanctions on Xiaomi in 2021 as a driving force behind the company’s move into the EV industry, further diversifying Xiaomi’s portfolio beyond consumer electronics.
