Inox Wind, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Inox Clean Energy (Inox Clean) for the supply of 1,500 MW of wind turbines, strengthening the INOXGFL Group’s integrated renewable energy strategy and providing long-term growth visibility for both companies.
Inox Wind will supply its 3.3 MW and 4X MW wind turbine generators for renewable energy projects being developed by Inox Clean across India. The partnership is a key component of the Group’s recently launched “One Integrated” renewable energy strategy, which brings together manufacturing, EPC, independent power production (IPP), and operations and maintenance (O&M) capabilities under a unified renewable energy platform.
The collaboration is designed to create stronger synergies among INOXGFL Group companies, support execution efficiency, generate recurring revenues, and reduce exposure to renewable energy market cycles. Large internal orders are expected to provide a stable growth trajectory for Inox Wind while supporting Inox Clean’s ambitious renewable energy expansion plans.
Inox Clean has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing renewable energy platforms, achieving an operational renewable portfolio of approximately 3.5 GW within just two years of operations. The company plans to add more than 3 GW of renewable energy capacity annually and is targeting an operational renewable energy portfolio of 14 GW by FY29.
A significant portion of this expansion is expected to be driven by wind energy. Around 20% to 30% of Inox Clean’s annual renewable capacity additions are projected to come from wind projects, creating substantial multi-year order visibility for Inox Wind and supporting long-term demand for its turbine manufacturing business.
The new MoU further strengthens Inox Wind’s business outlook. The company currently has a robust order book of 3.1 GW. With the addition of the 1,500 MW supply agreement, its total order book now exceeds 4.5 GW, providing revenue visibility and production planning certainty for the coming years.
The partnership also highlights the broader ambitions of the INOXGFL Group’s integrated renewable energy ecosystem. The “One Integrated” strategy combines the capabilities of Inox Clean Energy, Inox Renewable Solutions (IRSL), Inox Green Energy Services, and Inox Wind to create a scalable renewable energy platform with stronger execution capabilities, enhanced recurring revenue streams, and improved operational efficiencies.
Inox Clean is also expanding its renewable energy manufacturing footprint. The company aims to achieve 10 GW of installed renewable energy IPP capacity and 11 GW of integrated solar cell and module manufacturing capacity by FY28. Its operations extend beyond India to key international markets, including the United States and Africa.
Inox Wind remains one of India’s most integrated wind energy companies with five manufacturing facilities across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. The company manufactures blades, tubular towers, hubs, and nacelles and currently has annual wind turbine manufacturing capacity of approximately 2.5 GW.
Its subsidiary, Inox Green Energy Services, manages a portfolio of approximately 12.5 GW of renewable assets, including investments, making it India’s only listed pure-play renewable O&M services company. Another subsidiary, Inox Renewable Solutions, provides EPC services and develops power evacuation and common infrastructure for renewable energy projects.
The 1,500 MW turbine supply agreement underscores the growing scale of renewable energy investments within the INOXGFL Group and positions both Inox Wind and Inox Clean to benefit from India’s accelerating clean energy transition, rising demand for renewable power, and expanding wind energy deployment across the country.
