Vestas has strengthened its presence in the European wind energy market by securing 117 MW of new orders in Germany as part of its Q2 order intake, reinforcing its leadership in onshore wind solutions and long-term service contracts. The three projects highlight continued demand for high-capacity turbines and integrated service agreements that ensure operational efficiency and predictable revenue streams.

The largest of the announced projects is the 50 MW Vogelsberg wind farm for Boreas Energy. The project will deploy seven V172-7.2 MW turbines, one of Vestas’ most advanced high-capacity platforms designed to maximize energy output in low to medium wind conditions. The project includes a 20-year Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 service agreement, underlining the growing preference among developers for long-term performance optimization and lifecycle support.

In addition, Vestas secured a 31 MW order for the Nienwohlde project with BVNON Dienstleistungs- und Projektentwicklungs GmbH. This project will feature five V162-6.2 MW turbines and is backed by a 25-year AOM 4000 service agreement, one of the longest service commitments in this batch. The extended service duration highlights confidence in turbine reliability and the importance of long-term asset management in wind energy investments.

The third project, Münk Arbach, represents a 36 MW order from ENP Neue Energien GmbH. Vestas will supply six V150-6 MW turbines, supported by a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement. This agreement type typically offers enhanced performance guarantees and advanced monitoring capabilities, reflecting increasing sophistication in service models.

Across all three projects, turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027, with commissioning phases extending into 2028. Specifically, deliveries for the Nienwohlde and Vogelsberg projects will start in Q2 2027, with commissioning expected in Q4 2027, while the Münk Arbach project will begin deliveries in Q3 2027 and reach commissioning by Q2 2028.

These orders demonstrate Vestas’ strategy of combining turbine supply with long-term service agreements to secure recurring revenue while supporting customers in optimizing energy production. Germany continues to be a key market for onshore wind expansion, driven by policy support and the country’s energy transition goals.

With a total of 117 MW added in this announcement alone, Vestas continues to build momentum in Europe, leveraging advanced turbine technology and long-term service expertise to maintain its competitive edge in the global wind energy sector.
