Today’s renewable energy news includes announcements on Quadoro, ABO Wind, JSW Energy, Invenergy’s solar project in Indiana, among others.

Quadoro Buys Two German Solar Parks Developed by ABO Wind

Quadoro Investment GmbH, on behalf of the EB-Sustainable Investment Management (EB-SIM) renewable energy fund, has acquired two fully operational solar parks in Germany from ABO Wind. Located in Brandenburg and Hesse, the projects have a combined installed capacity of 13 MWp and are supported by long-term fixed feed-in tariffs under Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), ensuring stable and predictable revenue streams. This acquisition aligns with Quadoro and EB-SIM’s strategy to expand their sustainable infrastructure portfolio across Europe, focusing on low-risk, income-generating clean energy assets. The investment not only enhances the fund’s ESG credentials but also contributes to Germany’s energy transition and the EU’s climate targets. ABO Wind will remain involved through ongoing technical operations, ensuring continued performance and compliance

JSW Energy commissions 261 MW of renewable energy capacity

JSW Energy has commissioned 261 MW of renewable energy capacity, comprising 189 MW of solar and 72 MW of wind, as part of its 2.2 GW green energy pipeline under development. This milestone supports the company’s strategy to transition to a low-carbon portfolio, targeting 50 percent renewable energy mix by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. The projects utilize advanced solar PV modules and efficient wind turbines, ensuring higher energy yield and operational reliability. With a customer focus on both commercial and utility-scale consumers, the addition enhances energy availability and grid stability. JSW Energy is also investing in battery energy storage and green hydrogen, showcasing innovation beyond conventional renewables. The new capacity helps reduce emissions, boosts clean energy access, and strengthens India’s path toward a sustainable and secure energy future.

Invenergy Completes 250MW Solar Project in Indiana

Invenergy has completed the 250-MW Fairbanks Solar Energy Center in Sullivan County, Indiana—among the largest solar projects in the state. Spanning over 1,000 acres and featuring more than 600,000 bifacial solar panels with single-axis trackers, the plant maximizes energy production and efficiency. It will generate enough clean electricity to power 35,000 homes annually. Backed by long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), the project ensures reliable returns and supports Invenergy’s customer-focused strategy. With an investment exceeding $200 million, it created over 300 local construction jobs and delivered substantial tax revenue to the region. The project reflects Invenergy’s innovation-driven approach to utility-scale clean energy, aligning with its global portfolio of 30+ GW developed capacity, while advancing Indiana’s transition to a low-carbon energy future.
