RWE Inaugurates Wind Farm in Brittany, France

RWE has inaugurated the Beg Ar C’Hra wind farm in Brittany, France. The project, co-developed with the Lannion-Tregor semi-public company, includes four Nordex N117 turbines with a total capacity of 14.7 megawatts, supplying electricity to approximately 15,000 residents. The farm was commissioned in November 2024 after construction began in fall 2023. Environmental measures include hedgerow planting, amphibian habitat creation, and wintering areas for reptiles. Overhead power lines are being buried in Plounevez-Moedec and Plounerin to improve local integration.

SUSI Partners Sells 76 MW Solar Portfolio to Ingka Investments

SUSI Partners has sold a 76-megawatt solar photovoltaic portfolio in the Netherlands to Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Ingka Group, which owns IKEA. The portfolio consists of three utility-scale solar parks with a combined annual power production of 67 gigawatt-hours, supplying electricity to nearly 24,000 Dutch households. Ingka Investments aims to expand its renewable energy assets and has committed to investing 7.5 billion euros in wind and solar projects by 2030. The acquisition supports the Netherlands’ transition to a low-carbon economy.

RES Secures Solar O&M Contracts in UK and Spain

RES has secured operations and maintenance contracts in the UK and Spain from The Renewables Infrastructure Group. The agreements include a five-year renewal for 11 solar photovoltaic sites in the UK, totaling 121 megawatts, and a new five-year contract for four solar sites and a substation in Cádiz, Spain, adding 234 megawatts. Together, these sites generate enough electricity to power over 200,000 homes. The Renewables Infrastructure Group aims to enhance its renewable portfolio using RES’ expertise and advanced solar technologies.

Gonvarri Solar Steel Secures 130MW Solar Structure Supply Deal in Spain

Gonvarri Solar Steel has signed a contract to supply solar structures for a 130MW photovoltaic project in Spain. The agreement includes the delivery of its TracSmarT+ single-row tracker and RackSmarT fixed structure solutions, adapted to the project’s technical requirements. With this deal, Solar Steel’s global supply footprint surpasses 15GW. The company, a division of Gonvarri Industries, continues to strengthen its role in the Spanish renewable energy sector by offering specialized design and supply services for utility-scale solar tracking and mounting systems.
