Intel ranked No.1 in EPA Green Power Partnership

Intel has been ranked No.1 partner in EPA Green Power Partnership with a green power consumption of 3,102,050,000kWh annually, followed by Kohl’s Department Stores from retail sector with 1,536,529,000kWh.

The combined green power usage of the listed partners in the latest EPA Green Power Partnership amounts to nearly 24 billion kilowatt hours annually, which represents nearly 87 percent of the green power commitments made by all EPA Green Power Partner organizations, EPA website says.

Microsoft is ranked third with 1,363,216,892kWh green power usage annually, with Whole Food Market and Google following for the fourth and fifth place in green power usage with 800,257,623kWh and 737,364,727kWh respectively.

Staples have recorded a value of 635,951,792kWh usage and Apple has used 626,315,500kWh in total green power annually.

City of Houston has calculated an annual green power usage of 623,013,375kWh.

U.S Department of Energy is placed in the tenth position with 594,703,934kWh green power consumption annually.

In Technology &Telecom sector, Intel leads with a total electricity consumption of 100 percent GP, followed by Microsoft with 50 percent GP electricity use and Google with 32 percent GP of total electricity use. Apple uses 626,315,500 green power annually, with a 92 percent GP of total electricity use.

Cisco Systems has used 425,183,599 kWh of green power annually with 40 percent GP total use. For Dell, the annual green power consuming value reaches 228,262,000kWh with a 48 percent GP total electricity use.

In case of Sprint, the green power consumption value is 176,004,679 kWh annually with only 6 percent GP of total electricity use. EMC uses 175,000,000 kWh of green power every year and the total electricity use is 31 percent GP.

Sony is trailing back with 88,329,414kWh of annual green power consumption and 37 percent total GP use. For SAP America, the total green power use value is 86,000,000kWh throughout a year with 100 percent achievement in total GP use.

In Retail sector, Kohl’s Department stores is in top position accomplishing 105 percent GP of total power use.

Whole Foods Market stands in the second position with 800,257,623kWh annual green power use for various outlets and a 107 percent GP gain in total electricity use.

Wal-Mart Stores and Staples have showed an annual green power usage of 650,716,703kWh and 635,951,792 kWh respectively. The total electricity use of Staples id 106 percent GP where as for Wal-Mart it is only 3 percent.

Ahold USA has shown an annual green power usage of 155,985,720kWh and the total electricity usage is 8 percent GP. For Best Buy, the value of green power consumption per year is 133,333,000 kWh with 13 percent GP of total electricity use.

REI comes in next position with 64,594,058kWh of green power usage every year and a 100 percent GP of total electricity use.

H-E-B Grocery has calculated their green power usage annual value as 62,014,372kWh with only 4 percent total power GP.

In Government Sector, the US Department of Energy leads with 594,703,934 kWh green power use and 12 percent GP of total electricity use. District of Columbia uses 459,000,000kWh wind power and 100 percent GP total electricity use.

US Department of Veterans Affairs has annual usage of 400,000,000kWh green power with 12 percent total GP use.

City of Austin and City of Dallas consumes 372,344,963kWh with 99 percent GP usage and 359,368,000kWh wind power with 50 percent GP usage respectively every year.

U.S Environmental Protection Agency consumes 247,496,852kWh green power annually with 103 percent total use.

State of Illinois uses 157,873,735kWh of green power every year and 32 percent is the total usage.

State of Wisconsin has shown a value of 155,806,657kWh usage in green power with 16 percent total power use.

Montgomery County clean energy buyers have recorded a 138,877,000kWh as their wind power consumption annually with a 26 percent GP usage. The State of Connecticut utilizes 105,137,623kWh with 19 percent total GP usage.

In Banking and Financial Services category, TD Bank has outshined in Banking sector by gaining 101 GP percent total electricity use with annual green power of 270,866,241kWh. BNY Mellon has 80 percent GP usage to its credit with 229,181,780kWh of annual green power.

JP Morgan Chase has achieved a 12 percent GP of total electricity consumption with 210,000,000 kWh annual green power.

State Street Corporation, with a 116 percent GP total use has an annual 205,000,000kWh green power consumption. Deutsche Bank has achieved 110 percent total GP usage with annual green power of 150,000,000kWh.

NYSE Euronext is consuming 126,169,000kWh of green power with 123 percent GP of total capacity. CitiBank has only achieved 11 percent total usage with 100,004,314kWh of green power.

BMO Harris Bank has a 74 percent GP of total electricity usage with 91,400,000kWh of green power annually.

Capital One is in the next position with 79,870,504kWh green power and 13 percent GP total usage annually.

Fifth Third bank calculates annual green power usage of 69,589,000kWh and a 30 percent total GP.

In the segment of Higher Education, University of Pennsylvania is in foremost position with 51 percent GP power usage from 200,183,000kWh green power every year. Georgetown University is following with 142 percent achievement in total GP and annual 152,370,500kWh of green power.

University of Oklahoma has so far achieved 76 percent GP with annual green power consumption of 134,898,600kWh.The Ohio State University has 76 percent GP with a total 133,631,369kWh of annual green power.

Carnegie Mellon University has 98 percent GP of total power usage from 115,637,466kWh of annual wind and solar power resources. Chicago Public Schools have 20 percent GP of total electricity usage to its credit with 107,709,620kWh of solar power consumption.

Oklahoma State University has 100,360,039kWh of annual wind power consumption with 71 percent total GP. The Northwestern University shows an annual solar and wind power consumption of 96,720,800kWh with 38 percent total GP.

The Drexel University has 96,678,000kWh of annual green power consumption with 100 percent GP of total electricity usage. Apollo/University of Phoenix has 54 percent total power usage with 92,906,000kWh annual wind power.

For Industrial and Goods service sector, the Lockheed Martin has 431,108,840kWh of estimated annual green power usage with a 24 percent GP of total electricity usage. Johnson Controls is second place with 208,384,832kWh of green power use and 17 percent GP of total use.
