Gamesa to supply for a 50-MW Portugal wind farm

Gamesa has signed an agreement with Exus Management, the wind farm developer and operator for the turnkey construction of a 50 MW facility in Portugal.

This is Gamesa’s first contract with Exus Management.

The project will include construction of the Pisco wind farm being built in the Guarda region in northern Portugal.

According to the agreement, Gamesa will be responsible for the transportation, installation and commissioning of eight of its G97-2.0 MW turbines and 17 of its G114-2.0 MW model.

In addition, it will also build the civil and electric infrastructure needed to install and operate the facility, excluding the high-voltage grid.

The first consignment of turbines is scheduled to be delivered by the first half of 2015.

Moreover, the project is expected to be fully commissioned by the beginning of 2016.

Exus Management Partners is an international investment and asset management company focused on renewable energy sector.

Currently, the company has 252 MW of wind power generation under management in Spain and Portugal.
