Trina Solar signs $90 mn financing from Wells Fargo and Barclays

Trina Solar has signed $90 million in financing facility agreements with Wells Fargo Bank, National Association and Barclays Bank.

The US-based photovoltaic (PV) modules company will use $60 million, as part of five-year revolving loan from Wells Fargo, to support Trina Solar US’s working capital and business operations in North America to support its growth strategy.

Trina Solar Singapore will use $30 million credit line from Barclays to support ‘s working capital to better capture growing opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.

Teresa Tan, chief financial officer of Trina Solar, said: “We will continue to diversify our sources of funding to ensure that we have adequate funding at low cost to take advantage of the favourable market conditions in the solar energy sector.”
