Trina Solar ranked no. 1 in Australia’s solar PV market

Greentech Lead Asia:Trina Solar has been ranked No. 1 position in Australia’s PV market, according to a new report from Solar Business Services.The report, “Australian PV – Technology and Brands 2013” finds that Trina Solar was the most popular solar panel brand in Australia during 2012, accounting for 100MW of installations.The rise to the top position is attributed to the success of its high-performing Honey Cell Technology based products, which are well suited for Australia’s rooftop system requirements.

John Susa , Trina Solar Australia’s managing director, said, “We have developed our channel network carefully to ensure high quality representation with long-term partners who focus on providing quality customer service and installations. Having an experienced and dedicated local team has also been a key factor in our success in the residential and commercial segments.”

Australia is regarded as one of the prime markets globally for PV solar generation due to its high irradiance and favorable year round climate for system installation, operation, and maintenance.

Trina Solar unveils new frameless module resistant to degradation and micro-cracking

Trina Solar recently announced the 60-cell PDG5, the first in Trina Solar ’s new line of dual rated frameless modules. The PDG5 is resistant to potential induced degradation (PID) and micro-cracking, and does not require grounding.

The PDG5 is optimized for reliable performance under stressful environmental conditions and is among the most durable modules on the market.

Trina Solar to supply 30MW of PV modules to Gestamp Solar

In another recent development Trina Solar agreed to supply 30MW of photovoltaic modules to Gestamp Solar, which specializes in the development and management of photovoltaic parks, for two projects in South Africa.
