Greentech Lead Asia: JinkoSolar, a solar power product
manufacturer, will provide modules for a 50 MW solar project operated by
GSHHSD, the state-run renewable energy development company in China.
The project is expected to contribute significantly to
China’s renewable energy production goal of 15 GW by 2015.
The solar project will contribute to the region’s
government-backed goals of increasing renewable energy development through
solar, wind, nuclear and hydropower.
The GSHHSD project is expected to connect with the
state-operated grid within the year.

in a position to provide us with first-class photovoltaic products that meet
our needs. It is also our hope that this partnership will give impetus to even
more wide-spread solar energy applications,” said GSHHSD Chairman Xingjie
Zhu.

Jinko’s 235P modules achieved the highest unit power
yield in PHOTON Laboratory’s January 2012 outdoor field tests.
According to China’s broader 12th Five-Year Plan for
National Economic and Social Development, solar power is one of the country’s
seven strategic emerging industries.
Through 2015, rapid development of this industry will be
strongly supported by the state, which also includes support for domestic
manufacturing and installation as well as research and development within the
sector.
JinkoSolar has built a vertically integrated solar
product value chain with an integrated annual capacity of approximately 1.2GW
each for silicon ingots, wafers, solar cells and solar modules as of December
31, 2011.
JinkoSolar distributes its photovoltaic products to a
diversified customer base in the global PV market; including Italy, Germany,
Belgium, Spain, the United States, France, Eastern Europe, China and other
countries and regions.
