Greentech Lead Asia: JinkoSolar has unveiled its new series ‘Eagle II’ solar modules at the 7th SNEC International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition in Shanghai.

The ‘Eagle II’ series represents another new standard for high performance and reliability by reaching peak power output of approximately 260-270 Watts for a 60-cell module; one of the highest power outputs on the PV market nowadays, the company said.

The “Eagle II” solar module utilizes polycrystalline cells to deliver increased efficiency through decreased electrical resistance. Like the ‘Eagle I’, the new series of modules are certified under extreme weather conditions of 85 degrees Celsius and 85 percent relative humidity (PID free).

The ‘Eagle II’ series is consistent with JinkoSolar high quality standards of performance, degradation and safety. It is designed for both rooftops as well as ground mounting systems.

“The attractive design, high efficiency and reliability of the Eagle II series, provides customers with the best option in the market today at a competitive price when deciding which modules to use for rooftop systems,” added Arturo Herrero, chief marketing officer.

Recently JinkoSolar  announced it has provided 804 kW of highly efficient solar panels to the largest rooftop PV solar installation located on a desalination plant in Murcia, Spain. The desalination plant is operated by the Spanish state-owned water company called Acuamed.

The company recently also entered into a module supply agreement with a leading solar project developer to deliver a total of 115 megawatts (MW) of its high-efficiency solar panels for two projects in South Africa.
