ET Solar Group has partnered with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to provide financial support for UNICEF’s Child Welfare Demonstration Project (CWDP).

CWDP was designed to help pilot a new model for providing child welfare services for China’s most vulnerable children. The initiative also aligns with relevant policy development in China.

The project will cover approximately 80,000 highly vulnerable children from 120 villages in 5 provinces and autonomous regions including Henan, Shanxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, and Xinjiang.

The children will receive, under CWDP, improved community care to support essential health care and, nutrition, access to education, and a variety of social welfare services.

ET Solar will be one of the contributors to the project between 2013 and 2015.

Gillian Mellsop, the representative of UNICEF, said, ET Solar’s contribution will not only benefit the children covered in the programme, it will also contribute toward developing better policies and strategies adopted by the Government of China to meet the critical needs of its most vulnerable children throughout the country.

Dennis She, president and CEO of ET Solar, said, “As a socially responsible company that is committed to the public welfare efforts, ET Solar has also been very keen to provide significant support to children from the developing regions in China.”

“It is our strong belief that children, the hope of our society, should be given the highest priority on living condition improvement and we will do everything we can to fill their lives with positive energy,” she added.
