Ascent Solar debuts EnerPlex Kickr line of solar chargers for ruggedized applications

Greentech Lead America: Ascent Solar Technologies has unveiled the company’s newest additions to the Kickr line of personal solar chargers, the EnerPlex Kickr I and II.

Kickr I, with a 1.5 watt output is perfect for charging batteries and power banks while the Kickr II is capable of charging most smartphones in under five hours with a 3 watt output.

Both EnerPlex Kickr  I and II solar chargers  are lightweight, flexible and compact, allowing for easy attachment to anything imaginable, from a bike to a backpack.

The Kickr line of personal solar chargers is uniquely enabled by the flexible, rugged, lightweight and thin form factor of Ascent’s proprietary CIGS solar cells.

Compared to the traditional mono-crystalline solar panels which are heavy, fragile and cumbersome, the new EnerPlex Kickr products are robust, durable and deliver rugged charging solution when off the grid.

The portable solar charging solutions are ideal for customers working in a remote oil field or other tough terrains.

Ascent Solar modules can be directly integrated into consumer products and off-grid applications, as well as aerospace and building integrated applications. EnerPlex brand of products is integrated with Ascent’s transformational CIGS technology.
