Greentech Lead America: Advanced Energy Industries announced that its newest
inverter, the AE 500, has been deployed by American Clean Energy (ACE) at one
of 13 projects, totaling 4.5MW, at Toms River Regional School District in Ocean
County, N.J.
ACE
chose the AE 500 inverters for their integration, built-in reliability, and for
the unsurpassed customer experience that AE is known for.
“AE
inverters have a tremendous reputation as being purpose-built with project
developers in mind, enabling easy installation, maintenance and top-end performance,
which is important to our project investors and host customer. In addition to
delivering a great product, the sales and engineering support personnel were
great to work with and we look forward to developing more projects with this
inverter in the future,” said Steve Morgan, CEO of American Clean Energy.
The
new 500kW inverter combines PV Powered and Advanced
Energy technology to deliver a highly reliable inverter solution,
supported by a customer focused applications engineering team and technical
support and services organization.
The
AE 500 transformer based central inverter maximizes
energy harvest and accelerates payback with a 97 percent weighted California
Energy Commission (CEC) efficiency rating. The AE 500 offers wide DC operating
range, fast convergence MPPT, and the ability to produce full power all the way
to 55 deg C.
The
new inverter features an innovative DC circuit breaker sub combiner that
enables low cost compliance with current safety and electrical codes, and
improved serviceability. Built-in advanced power controls and optional
factory-installed performance monitoring and metering make the AE 500 the
industry’s most fully integrated and configurable inverter in its class.
“AE
has always been known for our dedication to our customers and their needs Our
new products, combined with our applications and O&M services, enable AE
Solar Energy to live up to its ‘Energy Delivered’ promise,” said Gordon
Tredger, executive vice president for AE Solar Energy.
Recently,
Advanced Energy Industries signed a sales and service agreement with Bergen
Group to service the Indian photovoltaic (PV) market. Under the present
partnership, the company has set up a 1 MW ground-mount array in Kalanaur,
Haryana, India.
