ReNew Sells Stake in 300 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan
ReNew Energy Global has agreed to sell its 300 MW solar project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, to India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) for an enterprise value of $199 million. The project, operated by ReNew Solar Urja, was commissioned in December 2021 and has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with SECI at INR 2.71/kWh. ReNew expects to receive $82 million post debt transfer and may gain an additional $8 million from change-in-law adjustments. The project achieved a 27.42 percent plant load factor in fiscal year 2022–23.
EnBW Commissions 80MW Solar Park in Germany
EnBW has powered up an 80MW solar PV park in Langenenslingen-Wilflingen, Baden-Wurttemberg. Spanning 80 hectares, the site will supply clean energy to thousands of homes, supporting Germany’s renewable energy goals. Developed with SolNet, the project also includes biodiversity measures like planting grasslands and hedges. This marks another step in EnBW’s green strategy, alongside three new parks in Rosenberg and Hardheim (24.2MW total). Additionally, EnBW operates Germany’s largest solar park, the 187MW Weesow-Willmersdorf, completed without subsidies, showcasing the financial viability of large-scale renewable projects.
DolWin5 Offshore Converter Platform Departs Singapore for Europe
The 900MW DolWin5 offshore converter platform has departed Seatrium’s shipyard in Singapore and is en route to the Aibel shipyard in Haugesund, Norway. This platform is integral to the DolWin5 project, which aims to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to Germany’s power grid, enhancing the country’s renewable energy infrastructure. Upon arrival, the platform will undergo final preparations before being installed in the German sector of the North Sea, marking a significant milestone in Europe’s transition to sustainable energy sources.
Windar Advances Offshore Wind Tower Factory in Poland
Windar Renovables is developing a major offshore wind tower factory in Szczecin, Poland, set to begin operations in 2026. The facility will create around 450 direct jobs and support both Polish and global offshore wind markets. It will manufacture towers, masts, and foundations for next-generation turbines. Construction is being handled by PORR, with completion expected in 18 months.
Greenvolt Sells Polish Wind Projects to Enea for €83.3 mn
Greenvolt Power has agreed to sell four wind farms in Poland to Enea Nowa Energia for €83.3 million. The transaction involves a total capacity of 33 MW and is part of Greenvolt’s strategy to monetize assets at the ready-to-build or commissioning stage. This deal follows Greenvolt’s earlier sale of the 83.2 MW Pelplin wind farm to Enea for €174.4 million, further consolidating its asset disposal strategy in Poland.
