SemaConnect, a provider of electric vehicle charging stations, is now offering services to Town of Bethel, Connecticut.

SemaConnect electric vehicle charging stations will provide residents and tourists with additional locations to charge their electric vehicles.

Connecticut has set an example to other states by developing ways to get more zero-emission vehicles on the roads. Since July of last year, the state has given over $175,000 to towns, schools and businesses to provide electric vehicle charging stations across the state.

“Connecticut really is a trailblazer when it comes to the encouragement of electric vehicle adoption,” said Mark Pastrone, VP of Business Development at SemaConnect.

“With 50 of Connecticut’s 169 communities already offering electric vehicle charging stations, we are pleased to be working with the Town of Bethel on offering additional charging stations and helping with the effort to encourage the use of electric vehicles,” Pastrone added.

SemaConnect’s networked electric vehicle charging stations and web-based management software allows station owners to deploy at their properties.

The stations are sophisticated networked Level II (240Volts, 30Amps) commercial grade. They come bundled with SemaCharge, a web-based management software that allows station owners to manage time-of-use pricing with built-in payment gateway, run sustainability reports on fossil fuel and CO2 emissions, see real-time electricity metering and manage electric vehicle driver usage.

SemaConnect was recently also selected by Jones Lang LaSalle to install electric vehicle charging stations at CityPlace Tower in West Palm Beach FL.
