America: Bill Jacobs Auto has opened a vehicle solar charging station at
the Joliet Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership in Joliet, IL.
The solar charging station is only one of two in the entire
state of Illinois. There are six stations that allow customers to charge
their vehicles.
“With the addition of the solar charging station here
in our lot, we can now provide a great convenience to Chevy Volt drivers. This
station is both a great asset for our dealership and the Joliet community that
we hope many people will take advantage of,” said Brad Wise, GM
of Bill Jacobs Chevrolet.
The solar
charging station offers free energy to all customers. With the solar
charging station now open to the public, the dealership hopes to expand the
knowledge of the Chevy Volt and future General Motors hybrid vehicles to
customers.
“We are very excited to have this station located right
in our very own city and we know the community will be ecstatic about this free
service. Producing less emission and providing this green service to Joliet
will bring more attention to these environmentally conscious vehicles that are
the future of autos,” said Cynthia Thrall, president of Bill
Jacobs Chevrolet.
